We have a candid discussion about trafficking, and the various ways it's either applied as a 'gotcha' in the debate with no real care or understanding of its roots and nuances or outright ignored, how the application of laws that are supposed to target pimps and clients overwhelmingly, and disproportionately, hurt sex workers, and how the internet censorship that has been trialled on sex workers affects us all. In addition, we talk about the employment of strategic ignorance to disregard workers' voices.

We talk about how the 'end demand' model doesn't really work in the context of an industry where poverty creates the demand itself, and the economic and border violence that props the legislation up. We're joined by activist and co-author of Revolting Prostitutes, Molly Smith, to talk about the sex workers' rights movement, what we're doing and who we're fighting against. #Two variates of rock pocket mouse update#
All of this, an update on Donny Drumpf, and much more on this week's episode. Naturalists in the 1930s observed that mice found on the lava rocks were typically melanic, while those on the surrounding sand-colored granite rocks were usually light-colored. Among these rocks lives the rock pocket mouse, which occurs in dark black and a light, sandy color. We talk about the role he played in his father's political campaigns, his founding of a political shell party to endorse himself, and speculate on why on earth he blew up that bridge. produced by lava flows over the past two million years. What's more, we take a deep dive into the career (and various misdeeds) of former Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo, who has recently resigned after multiple sexual harassment allegations were brought against him. We take a look at (Sloppy) Joe Biden's first 6 months as president and whether or not fascism has truly ended and it's safe for everyone to go for brunch yet. This week we are going transatlantic as we are joined by Sam Knight of The District Sentinel to delve into the weird and wonderful world of US politics. We are back after a 2 week hiatus and like the dear leader of the Labour Party we are relaunching with our new co-host Ruairi. Music: Cardio /// Charanjeet Singh - Raga Vairabh The most-suited individuals are most likely to be able to reproduce and pass on their genes. Individuals vary greatly in their characteristics (phenotypes). With the backdrop of Boris Johnson's visit at the end of April, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the governments of the UK and India are on some very similar trajectories. Environmental resources are limited (competition). The recent attacks in Jahangirpuri and the hijab ban in Karnata have also shown the extent to which, 8 years into Modi's rule, Muslims have effectively become second class citizens in India. After a year in which Modi's stranglehold on Indian politics seemed to have begun to buckle, it seems back on track once again with a resounding BJP victory in the recent Uttar Pradesh state elections.

A year on from the Kisan Andolan, or Farmer Protests, that were the subject of our previous collaboration, we take a look at its historic victories, as well as the present political landscape in India. These findings suggest that adaptive dark coloration has occurred at least twice in the rock pocket mouse and that these similar phenotypic changes have different genetic bases.Aarjan by himself this week joined by none other than returning champion Amardeep Singh Dhillon to touch base on the motherland of all content, India. No Mc1r mutations were associated with dark fur color in the New Mexico populations. The mutations responsible for the dark fur color in the Arizona mice were absent from the three different populations of New Mexico mice. The entire Mc1r gene was sequenced in all 76 of the mice collected. However, the dark-colored mice from the three New Mexico locations were slightly darker than the dark-colored mice from the Arizona population. Nachman and colleagues observed no significant differences in the color of the rocks in the four locations sampled. In a separate study, 76 rock pocket mice were collected from four different, widely separated areas of dark lava rock.
